In Woodleigh, a quiet pocket of Gippsland, PanelTech Systems recently completed a second dwelling using our full Structural Insulated Panel (SIPs) system — with the floor, wall, and roof panels installed exactly to schedule and within the allocated timeframe.
This project is a perfect example of how SIPs deliver speed, accuracy, and energy efficiency in modern construction. Each prefabricated panel was manufactured to precise specifications and arrived on-site pre-packed in installation order, allowing for a seamless and highly coordinated build.
The process
Working closely with the builder and client, our team managed the installation from start to finish — from setting out and fixing the raised floor system to standing the walls and craning the roof panels into position. The result was a strong, thermally efficient, and airtight structure that came together quickly and cleanly.
Thanks to the planning and precision of the PanelTech Systems team, the Woodleigh project progressed exactly as intended — fast, efficient, and with a very happy client at handover.
Stage 01 - Site Prep & Subfloor
Plates were accurately set out on a raised stilt structure before installing the SIPs subfloor system, ensuring a precise and level foundation from the very beginning. The floor panels were then craned into place and securely fixed to the structure, creating a strong and stable base for the build.
Stage 02 - Wall Panels Installed
SIP wall panels were stood, joined, and braced into position.
Stage 03 - Roof Panels Craned In
Large-format roof SIPs were lifted into place with precision and secured.
Stage 04 - Lock-Up Achieved
Windows, doors, and cladding followed, delivering a weather-tight, secure structure ready for interior trades.
