PanelTech Systems has completed its fifth Structural Insulated Panel (SIP) build in Cobblebank, further reinforcing the reliability and repeatability of our prefabricated construction system. This project was delivered for End 2 End Construction, with the Dawson Built team overseeing the on-site installation.
Designed to balance speed with architectural presence, the build features a gable-style roof that highlights the adaptability of the SIP system. Prefabricated wall and roof panels were delivered ready for install and craned into position with efficiency and control, allowing the structure to take shape rapidly while achieving outstanding thermal performance and airtightness.
With multiple successful projects completed in the same location, this build reflects the confidence builders continue to place in PanelTech Systems to deliver consistent quality, predictable timelines, and high-performing building envelopes.
The process
Planning and coordination were key to the success of this Cobblebank installation. Panels were manufactured off-site and delivered in a clearly defined installation order, enabling the Dawson Built crew to progress smoothly from base checks and bottom plate installation through to standing and bracing the wall panels.
Once the wall structure was secured, the roof SIPs were lifted into place using carefully coordinated crane operations. Sealing was completed progressively as each section was installed, allowing the building to become weather-tight early in the program. This efficient workflow meant external elements such as windows, doors, and cladding could commence almost immediately, pushing the project to lock-up within days.
Through close collaboration between PanelTech Systems, Dawson Built, and End 2 End Construction, the build achieved a fast turnaround with minimal site waste, reduced labour demand, and a robust, energy-efficient structure built to perform for the long term.
Stage 01 - Site Prep & Subfloor
Plates were fixed to the slab and accurately set out before installing the SIPs subfloor system, providing a precise and level base for the build from the very start.
Stage 02 - Wall Panels Installed
SIP wall panels were stood, joined, and braced into position.
Stage 03 - Roof Panels Craned In
Large-format roof SIPs were lifted into place with precision and secured.
Stage 04 - Lock-Up Achieved
Windows, doors, and cladding followed, delivering a weather-tight, secure structure ready for interior trades.
