At Cobblebank, PanelTech Systems has now completed our third SIPs installation — this time for End 2 End Construction, with the Dawson Built team leading the on-site build.
This project featured a striking gable-style roof section that highlights just how adaptable and visually impressive PanelTech’s prefabricated SIPs can be. Large roof panels were craned into place with precision, allowing the structure to come together rapidly while delivering exceptional thermal performance and airtightness.
From factory floor to final install, we worked closely with the builders to streamline every step of the process.
The result? Another fast, efficient build with minimal waste, lower labour requirements, and a strong, high-performing building envelope designed to last.
The process
The Cobblebank build was planned and executed with efficiency front of mind. Panels were delivered to site in a pre-organised sequence, allowing the team to move smoothly from set-out checks and bottom plate installation through to standing and securing each wall SIP. With the walls locked in, the oversized roof panels were lifted into place with controlled, accurate crane work.
As the structure came together, every junction was sealed as we progressed, enabling the building to become weather-tight remarkably quickly. This fast, orderly workflow meant windows, doors, and cladding could be installed almost immediately — pushing the project to lock-up in just a matter of days.
Stage 01 - Site Prep & Subfloor
Plates were fixed to the slab and accurately set out before installing the SIPs subfloor system, providing a precise and level base for the build from the very start.
Stage 02 - Wall Panels Installed
SIP wall panels were stood, joined, and braced into position.
Stage 03 - Roof Panels Craned In
Large-format roof SIPs were lifted into place with precision and secured.
Stage 04 - Lock-Up Achieved
Windows, doors, and cladding followed, delivering a weather-tight, secure structure ready for interior trades.
