At Cobblebank, PanelTech Systems has completed a second SIPs installation — this time featuring a stunning gable-style roof section that showcases the versatility and aesthetic potential of our building system.
Once again, our prefabricated structural insulated panels delivered precision, efficiency, and speed on site. Massive roof sections were craned into place with ease, dramatically reducing construction time while ensuring superior thermal performance and airtightness.
Working closely with the builder, our team streamlined every stage of the process — from manufacturing through to installation. The result is another fast, efficient build with minimal waste, reduced labour costs, and a durable, high-performance building envelope built to stand the test of time.
The process
The Cobblebank installation was carefully sequenced for speed, accuracy, and safety. Each panel arrived on-site pre-packed in installation order, allowing the crew to move efficiently from set-out verification and bottom plate fixing to standing and bracing the wall SIPs. Once complete, the large-format roof panels were craned into place with precision.
As the structure took shape, joints were sealed progressively, making the building weather-tight in record time. This streamlined process enabled the immediate installation of windows, doors, and cladding — bringing the project to lock-up within just a few days.
Stage 01 - Site Prep & Subfloor
Plates were fixed to the slab and accurately set out before installing the SIPs subfloor system, providing a precise and level base for the build from the very start.
Stage 02 - Wall Panels Installed
SIP wall panels were stood, joined, and braced into position.
Stage 03 - Roof Panels Craned In
Large-format roof SIPs were lifted into place with precision and secured.
Stage 04 - Lock-Up Achieved
Windows, doors, and cladding followed, delivering a weather-tight, secure structure ready for interior trades.
